October 2020: South Carolina
These past couple of months have been very busy. Most of the Sundays, God has opened doors for me to share the ministry in England with churches. During the weekdays, I stay busy visiting churches during office hours, emailing, calling, and mailing post cards to churches. While in North Carolina, I visited and/or tried repeatedly to contact 53 churches. During the week and a half, I’ve been here in South Carolina, I’ve visited 39 churches. My prayer is that God will open the doors for the churches and individuals HE wants me to partner with. 🙂
I would now like to share with you a story about a phone call & church visit I had a couple weeks ago. I had spent all day that Friday calling churches. I spoke with a few church secretaries and a pastor, while leaving a great host of messages on answering machines. By 4:00 that afternoon, I was very tired of calling, so I began preparations for dinner. As I put a pan on for rice, my cell phone began to ring. When I reached for my cell, I noticed it was a call from North Carolina. The question was, which of the many churches I called was calling me back? As I spoke with this church secretary, I learned that she had recognized my area code as being from Texas because she had just that week been dealing with a company in Texas. As we spoke that day, and when we met the following Sunday at church, God made it clear that HE had orchestrated that contact. As I got to know her and her husband, God’s hand was clearly seen! 🙂 God continues to open doors!
