Mary Coburn’s Spring 2023 Prayer Letter

Dear Prayer Partners,
Thank you for your continued prayer support and financial support! 🙂
Right after sending out my last official prayer letter, I became ill. I
was ill for about a month. During that month, many of the ministries
were canceled for the Christmas holidays. When the ministries began
again, I was able to join in. Understanding my time in England would
be drawing to an end, I began to prepare the church family for my
departure. I am glad to have had the opportunity to serve in Havant,
England.

Some praises and ministries to share with you all:

In February I had the privilege of being involved in two evangelistic outreaches. It was
wonderful to share the gospel with people on the streets in Portsmouth. Also, during February, I
had the opportunity to go to BMM’s Pause conference for missionaries in Europe and Africa.
The conversations I had that week, and the services each morning were such an
encouragement and blessing.

Right before Easter, Bethel had a special Lord’s Supper/ communion service. During that
special service, two of my students from Sunday school shared testimonies of recently
accepting Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Both of these kids were led to Christ by their
parents. It reminded me of the verse that says, “I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave
the increase….” (1 Corinthians 3:6).

Looking ahead, my visa expires July 4th. To be on the safe side, I will be leaving a bit earlier
than that to avoid any last minute travel issues. If you would like me to come by your church
later this year for an in-person update, please let me know. So far I have one meeting in Florida
in October.

Specific prayer requests:

My health-my health has improved over the last few months since my illness.
However, this week I came down with a fever. Please pray that my health
improves so that I can finish my time here well.
Outreaches here at Bethel-

Ages 0-3 outreach is going well. Please pray that it continues to grow.
Please pray for the volunteer workers here at Bethel.
Pray for the church kids’ club
Pray for Bethel’s teen club
Pray for the upcoming Holiday Bible Club (vbs)
Pray that God would continue to use Bethel as a lighthouse for His glory.

Pray for a smooth departure back to America. As I begin to pack to leave, pray
for everything to go smoothly.
Pray for more churches to partner with me. I am currently at 62% of my needed
support. I will need to reach 100%.of my needed support before I am allowed to
return to Europe as your missionary.
