Hi, Prayer Partners! August began with Holiday Bible Club. We were very thankful for all the kids who came that week, some of whom had never come to Bible club before. 😊 The following couple weeks were resting and planning weeks. Kids Bible clubs have since begun. Discoverers Bible club (ages 4-10) and Bethel Steps (Sunday school) are going well! Explorers (ages 10-17) will begin this afternoon. Adult Bible study groups have continued Wednesday evenings. Mums and Tots (ages infant – 3) will be starting up the end of this month. Also, an outreach to young mothers will be beginning soon. It is wonderful to be a part of the ministries here at the church in Havant! It has been such a blessing reconnecting with old friends and making new friends! Thank you for all your prayer support for me and the Bethel church family!
I wanted to thank you all for your generous financial gifts throughout these last 3 years and specifically gifts this year! I mentioned to my mom, before I left for England, that I didn’t understand why so many financial gifts had come in within just a few months. However, within weeks, I realized God had provided through your gifts in a special way that only He could! Once arriving in England, I began looking for a flat (apartment). With so many looking for flats and homes, but with very few available, my options were greatly limited! Thankfully, God allowed me to find a flat close (3-minute walk) to the church. The flat was within budget, but with so many interested in renting the flat, I was given 2 options: raise the amount of rent I would pay or pay an entire year’s worth of rent upfront. With all the financial gifts you all gave me, I was able to pay the entire years’ worth of rent plus all the normal expenses of getting everything set up and the flat furnished. This last month, God reminded me again of the importance of patience. From renting a flat, to getting the counsel tax, a bank account, a British phone, broadband / Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, furniture, and especially getting a washer took a lot of patience and running around in circles to complete. 😊
One specific prayer request I would like to share with you all is for Bethel’s new building. The church has been maxed out on space for years. They have been planning and saving for this new building since before I interned here back in 2016, but they are still under the needed amount to finish the building. If any of you would like to help toward this building project, please send gifts to Baptist Mid-Missions for me with a special note that the gift is for the building.
