Dear Prayer Partners,
Thank you so much for all your prayer support! For those of you who partner with me financially, thank you so much for your support!
The last 2 years I have had the privilege of serving God in England, and now that I have returned to the USA, I have had the privilege of reporting in-person to some of your churches. I have given in-person updates to 6 churches, presented the ministry for the first time to 2 churches, taught VBS at 3 churches, and now I am currently back from 2 weeks of speaking at missions conferences. From August – December, I am also helping a small BMM missionary church near Houston with their kids’ ministries. It has been such a privilege to serve!
It’s been such a joy and privilege to talk with church members who have been praying for me. I cherish all your prayer support! Also, I greatly appreciate the financial gifts that individuals and churches have given me since I have been back in the States.
One such gift I would like to share with you, as it was a direct answer to prayer which God was already working to provide even before I had asked Him to meet this need. About 4-years ago, I purchased my laptop, and it has served me well. Upon arrival in England, my laptop decided it would only work if it was plugged in. After returning to the States, my laptop became even more unpredictable in its performance. Not only does it still have to be plugged in the whole time, it has been having more issues too. Knowing laptops cost quite a bit, I was not expecting to replace it anytime soon.
This last missions conference the pastor asked each of us if we had any prayer requests for current needs. A couple of things had come to mind, but then God brought to mind my laptop. At first, I argued in my mind that my laptop still works, even though it is unpredictable. But God urged me to ask Him to meet this need. So, I bowed my head and asked Him to meet this need and a few minutes later, when the pastor turned to me, I mentioned this need to the church family. That evening, a lady from the church came up to me. She shared how she had prayed for me in England and then stated that she had a laptop that she just remembered was sitting unused at her home. She asked if I’d be there the whole week for the missions conference and I assured her that I would be.
On the last day of the missions conference, I walked into the church and noticed a laptop carrier on my display table. I wondered if it was the laptop this lady had mentioned, but didn’t want to presume, so I left it untouched and chatted with other church members around me. Right before the service, the lady came up to me and asked what I thought of the laptop and pointed to the one on my table. Because the service was starting, I waited to look at the laptop till afterwards. This laptop someone had given her, but she had never used it. It was a brand-new laptop. Not only that, but it was identical to the one that I needed to replace (which was a high-quality laptop).
I am so thankful how God met the exact need that I had! I am also thankful that this lady allowed God to use her to meet this need and be a blessing in my life. 😊
Thank you again for all your support! I hope you all have a good weekend and a good week following.
God bless.
